The Canadian Abilities Foundation is a national, mission-driven charity based in downtown Cobourg. We're seeking a highly organized and compassionate Administrative Assistant to support our Executive Director and broader organizational operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who can manage shifting tasks, stays calm under pressure, and enjoys working closely with people.
Position Details: In office hours (9:00am - 5:00pm) Monday to Thursday
What You’ll Do:
- Provide day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Executive Director
- Help lead and coordinate community-based projects and initiatives
- Manage shifting priorities and adapt quickly as the Executive Director's needs change
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, partners, and community members
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong organizational skills and the flexibility to adapt to a busy, changing schedule
- Above-average communication skills, written and verbal
- Above-average computer skills (Mac Environment)
- Ability to lead or coordinate community-based projects
- Excellent interpersonal ("people") skills
- Ability to stay composed and effective under pressure
