Responsibilities
- Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, and monitoring animals throughout their stay
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff
- Breed knowledge a Must
- Perform pet grooming tasks such as bathing
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment
- Offer excellent customer service by communicating effectively with management about our furry friends needs and care routines
- Must be able to perform activities including heavy lifting of supplies or animals when necessary
- Physically demanding position
- Ability to Multitask
Experience
- Prior kennel or animal care experience required; however company specific training will be provided
- Knowledge of dog handling techniques and dog training principles is highly desirable
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional appearance demeanor
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking, poop is a big part of our job
