About the Opportunity
DCG is looking for a full time Quality Control Coordinator based in Golden, BC. We are looking for a passionate and detail oriented candidate to fill this position.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and oversee quality control activities for concrete production and construction projects, ensuring compliance with company standards, CSA requirements, project specifications, and applicable regulations.
- Schedule and coordinate quality inspections, material testing, and laboratory services to support production and project requirements.
- Review and verify quality control test results, inspection reports, and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
- Monitor concrete production processes, material quality, and testing programs to ensure consistent product performance and specification compliance.
- Track, investigate, and document non-conformances, deficiencies, and quality incidents, ensuring timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain quality records, test reports, certifications, and turnover documentation in accordance with project and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate internal and external quality audits and support compliance reviews conducted by clients, regulatory agencies, and certification bodies.
- Analyze quality performance metrics, inspection trends, and testing data to identify opportunities for process improvement and risk reduction.
- Support project closeout activities by ensuring all quality documentation, certifications, and records are complete and submitted as required.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout all operations and project activities.
About You
To qualify, you will need the following:
- Post secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in quality control, quality assurance, construction industry, ideally in formwork and/or bridge construction.
- Good knowledge of CSA standards, concrete materials, and construction quality requirements..
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, regulatory agencies, and project teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced construction environment.
