What is the job!
The Manager of Crisis Response Services is responsible for the overall management of the program including program development, coordination and supervision of Program Supervisors, Team Leads and Addiction Specialist involved within the Crisis Response Services. As a member of the Management team, the Manager participates in the development of program and quality improvement initiatives as well as leads the implementation of Recovery into program practice.
What will you do day to day?
- Facilitates the delivery of exemplary client centered care within a collaborative team environment
- Develops and promotes standards of care for service in collaboration with staff, that are based on professional practice standards, research based best practice
- Participation as a member of the Management and Leadership teams, providing back up management support to other service areas & participating in the after hours on call management process, as required
- Leads in the planning and designing of program services within the context of the strategic plan and common service philosophy and model of the organization
- Assisting in the development of service specific standards, goals, and performance measures and to monitor compliance
- Monitoring and evaluating staff performance to ensure service quality assurance (i.e. time management, employee supports and evaluations etc.)
- Assisting in the development and implementation of corporate policies, standards, and management processes
- Actively participating in the hiring, orientation, managing, evaluating and training of identified program staff
- Managing and authorize purchases as per the guidelines established in the Finance Policy and within budgetary limitations
- Providing daily and regular clinical supervision of staff
- Facilitate team meetings
- Facilitates and/or delegates team case review meetings
- Ensuring program statistics are collected and reported accurately and timely, in collaboration with community partners
- Ensuring effective use of human and financial resources
- Ensuring proper documentation and reports are completed and submitted as requested
- Facilitating other project management activities
- Adhering to and promoting CMHA’s Code of Ethics Policy
- Complying, educating and promoting CMHA’s Health and Safety Policies
- Completing other duties as assigned
What do you bring to the job?
- Masters Degree in Social Work/Psychology or an undergraduate degree in health or human services,
- Minimum 5 years of progressive management experience
- 5 years direct service experience in the health or social service sectors
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
- Effective communication skills
- Strong leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to positively influence others
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Experience with data collection, interpretation and analysis
- Knowledge of Recovery Principles & Approaches
- Police Vulnerable Sector Clearance
- Valid Class “G” Driver’s license, 2 Million Liability
- Ability to speak French considered an asset
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
