Position Overview Highwood Distillers Ltd. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Distiller/Blender to join our production team. The ideal candidate will contribute to our distilling, blending, and quality assurance processes while ensuring compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate blending equipment in accordance with established recipes and production schedules.
- Ensure all production activities meet safety, sanitation, and quality assurance requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of production equipment and perform basic maintenance as needed.
- Maintain clean and sanitary work areas to prevent contamination and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Accurately measure ingredients and production inputs using basic mathematical calculations.
- Collaborate with production team members to optimize efficiency and resolve operational issues.
- Perform sensory evaluations and taste testing to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Follow company safety procedures and applicable regulations.
- Complete production records and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience working with boilers and pressure vessels.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in beverage processing, distillation, brewing, food manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Knowledge of food safety programs, regulations, and best practices.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience.
- Forklift certification or operating experience (where applicable).
