Co-operators – Assurances Daniel Lebrun Insurance Inc.
Rockland, Ontario
The Opportunity
This is not a purely sales-driven role where you are expected to build everything from scratch.
This is a relationship-based advisory role where approximately 70% of your time is spent servicing an existing book of business, and 30% is focused on growth and prospecting.
If you are an experienced advisor who values both stability and growth—and wants to build a long-term career in financial services—this opportunity may align.
Location
Based in Rockland, Ontario, this role operates in a flexible, hybrid structure. You will spend time in the office, but also out meeting clients, building relationships, and engaging in the community. This is not a fully remote role—success here comes from being visible and active with people.
What the Role Looks Like
This opportunity is designed for an experienced advisor who wants more than just a job. You will step into an existing client base within a team of four, servicing established relationships while also growing your own through referrals, relationships, and your natural market. Approximately 70% of your time will be focused on servicing existing clients, with the remaining 30% dedicated to growth and prospecting.
Day-to-day, your work will revolve around client meetings, financial conversations, and ongoing service. You will be supported with structure and guidance, especially in the early months, but there is an expectation that you take ownership of your activity and results. The first few months include focused onboarding and training, transitioning quickly into active client work and prospecting.
What makes this environment different is the leadership philosophy. This is not a competitive internal environment where you are fighting for clients. The focus is on supporting advisors to succeed. Business is shared, opportunities are created, and the goal is to help you grow—not hold you back.
Clients value this office for its responsiveness, accessibility, and service. Calls are returned quickly, support is consistent, and relationships are built beyond transactions.
Who This Role Is For
This role is best suited for someone who is confident, outgoing, and comfortable starting conversations. You do not need to follow a script—you need to be natural, sincere, and genuinely interested in helping people. Success comes from building trust, not forcing sales.
This is also a long-term opportunity. For the right person, there is a clear path to agency ownership within approximately four to five years, based on performance and results. The goal is not to keep you in an associate role indefinitely, but to help you grow into a leadership position and build something of your own.
Requirements
This role is not for someone early in their career with no experience, or someone who prefers a structured, office-only environment. It is also not suited for individuals who are uncomfortable initiating conversations or building relationships.
This role is for someone with a minimum of 2 years experience who wants to build a real career in financial services, grow their income over time, and potentially own an agency in the future.
If you are looking for a role where your effort directly impacts your growth, this may be the right opportunity.
From a practical standpoint, a Mutual Fund and Life Insurance license is required.
Compensation
Compensation includes a base salary ranging from $40,000 to $55,000, plus commission. In your first year, total earnings are expected to reach approximately $60,000 to $85,000, with growth beyond that as your business develops.
Full benefits are provided, including health, dental, and prescription coverage.
