Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a solid understanding of food and beverage service, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role involves delivering exceptional guest experiences through attentive service, efficient order management, and a thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are highly valued. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent time management, multitasking abilities, and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from guests using POS systems, including Micros POS.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties.
- Ensure all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed during food handling and service.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in accordance with health regulations.
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen duties as needed to support smooth restaurant operations.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management and organization skills.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service delivery during busy hours.
Experience
- Proven experience as a server in a fast-paced restaurant or food service environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety standards, and sanitation practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively while serving multiple tables simultaneously.
- Basic math skills for handling bills, cash transactions, and upselling menu items.
- Experience in food industry settings such as restaurants or hospitality establishments is highly desirable.
