About MVP
At MVP, we don’t just produce precast—we’re part of the reason projects run the way they’re supposed to.
We work closely with contractors, engineers, and project partners across Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan to deliver products people can actually rely on—built right, delivered on time, and backed by a team that takes pride in what they do.
We’re not focused on being the cheapest. We’re focused on doing it right, building strong relationships, and making sure the people we work with trust us to show up and deliver when it matters.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a Lead Estimator who knows precast and understands that a good estimate is about a lot more than numbers.
This role is central to how our projects start. You’ll be responsible for putting together accurate, thoughtful estimates, but also for spotting risks early, asking the right questions, and helping set projects up to run smoothly from day one.
You’ll work closely with sales, preconstruction, and operations to make sure what we price is something we can deliver; without surprises later.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for precast projects (structural and architectural)
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, and bid documents with a critical eye
- Identifying scope gaps, risks, and coordination issues early in the process
- Working with internal teams to align pricing with production, scheduling, and installation realities
- Supporting sales and leadership with bid strategy and project positioning
- Communicating clearly with clients, consultants, and partners throughout the estimating process
- Continuously improving estimating processes, tools, and accuracy
- Reviewing and validating estimates prepared by other team members, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project scope, production, and installation requirements
- Providing guidance and support to junior estimators, helping build consistency and accuracy across the estimating function
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of estimating experience, with demonstrated experience in precast concrete
- Strong understanding of precast systems, including production processes and installation methods
- Proven ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Experience identifying scope gaps, risks, and constructability challenges during the estimating phase
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to balance accuracy with overall project context
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain assumptions, risks, and pricing rationale
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, including sales, preconstruction, and operations
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
Assets (not required but a plus):
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- CET or equivalent professional designation
- Combination of formal education and hands-on industry experience
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation based on experience
- Profit sharing bonus
- Comprehensive benefits package
- A strong pipeline of work across Western Canada
- Access to experienced teams across production, installation, and preconstruction

- A collaborative environment where quality, accountability, and doing things properly matter.
