We are seeking a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join our maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a professional, fast-paced environment where your work directly contributes to the safety and reliability of our fleet.
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Director of Maintenance (DOM), the Aircraft Maintenance Engineer will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs while ensuring full compliance with Transport Canada regulations, approved maintenance data, and company procedures.
Working closely with Flight Operations and Dispatch, you will play a key role in maximizing aircraft availability while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company aircraft.
- Carry out inspections in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and approved maintenance procedures.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical defects.
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure all work complies with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), approved maintenance data, and company policies.
- Coordinate with Flight Operations and Dispatch to maximize fleet availability.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department.
Qualifications (Required)
Valid Transport Canada M1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence.
Eligible to work in Canada.
Strong working knowledge of the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- Experience maintaining Cessna 172 aircraft.
- Experience working within a Transport Canada approved AMO.
- Experience supporting a flight training or other high-utilization aircraft fleet.
- Familiarity with Lycoming piston engines.
