Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Engage with clients as either the primary advisor or in a supporting role
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients and their families
- Develop a deep understanding of client goals, values, and financial priorities
- Deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience
Financial Planning
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive financial plans, including:
- Retirement planning
- Investment strategy
- Tax optimization
- Estate and legacy planning
- Risk management (insurance needs)
- Use financial planning software to create accurate and actionable plans
- Proactively update plans as client circumstances evolve
Portfolio Implementation & Trading
- Execute trades in accordance with client strategies and IIROC compliance standards
- Support portfolio rebalancing and implementation of recommendations
- Ensure portfolios remain aligned with client objectives and risk profiles
Meeting Preparation & Follow-Up
- Prepare meeting materials and financial projections
- Attend client meetings and take detailed notes
- Draft clear and concise meeting summaries with actionable next steps
- Ensure timely completion of all follow-ups
Administrative & Operational Support
- Assist with account opening and documentation
- Support digital and in-person client signatures
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate client records in CRM systems
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Maintain active IIROC licensing in good standing
- Ensure all activities adhere to regulatory, compliance, and firm guidelines
- Maintain thorough documentation for all client interactions and recommendations
Client Service & Team Collaboration
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely, professional manner
- Collaborate closely with advisors and team members to deliver integrated advice
- Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and client experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Fixed base salary (70,000$ to 120,000$ depending on experience)
- Performance-based bonus structure

Qualifications & Skills
- IIROC licensed (or in process/willing)
- Financial planning designation (in progress considered an asset)
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- High attention to detail and organizational discipline
- Ability to manage multiple client files and priorities
- Solid understanding of investment products, tax, and wealth planning strategies
