Position Summary
The EIT supports production and surface facility engineering activities, including facility operations and performance monitoring, under the guidance of senior engineers. This role provides technical analysis, data interpretation, and operational support.
Responsibilities (may include but are not limited to)
1. Engineering Analysis & Calculations: Perform basic production facility and surface equipment calculations; analyze production and facility performance data to identify trends and optimization opportunities
2. Operations Support: Monitor well performance and coordinate with field staff to gather data; participate in operational reviews and optimization adjustments
3. Data Management & Reporting: Update engineering databases and tracking tools; prepare technical reports and summarize weekly engineering activities for supervisors
4. Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Integrate geological and operational data into engineering decisions; support alignment between engineering and field operations; participate in multidisciplinary meetings and planning sessions
5. Safety & Environmental Protection: Support safe execution of drilling, completion, and production operations in accordance with corporate HSE standards
Qualifications
- University degree in petroleum, mechanical, instrumentation engineering, or related field
- Recent graduate or up to 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
- Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Familiarity with engineering software (e.g., well log viewers, basic modeling tools) is an asset
- Must be registered as an EIT with APEGA
- Fluent in English and Chinese
Compensation: We offer a competitive salary, bonus structure, and future growth. The compensation range for this role is $3500 to $5000 CAD per month.
