WILL-CALL CLERK
JOB DUTIES:
● Communicates well with others employing a welcoming, concise and friendly temperament
● Detail oriented maintaining a customer focussed attitude
● Prepare orders to be shipped maintaining that goods are certified sanitized and in proper condition for rental through the warehouse supervisor and warehouse staff
● Maintaining a clean and orderly work area as this area is the first impression customers have upon entering Modern Rentals
● Communicate with sales representatives and adjust rental items when required in meeting the changing needs of the customer
● Use POR to prep and return all items rented by customers as well as send out or close reservations. Verify customer identities and confirm rental are paid for before leaving the building
● Cleaning and repairing rentals when necessary as well as designating items damaged through a weekly log
● Ensures incoming shipments have been placed in their proper receiving zones and that order tracking is maintained until final prep in
● Communicate and maintain records for the shipper/receiver to expedite the restitution process in the event of receiving damaged goods
● Participate in periodic employee meetings and contribute to the growth of Modern Rentals
● Reports directly to the shipping/receiving manager and shipping/ receiving supervisor
● Perform other duties as assigned
Education, Skills & Requirements:
● A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
● Must be able to lift/move approximately 50lbs
● Computer skills
● Versatile in different zones around the warehouse and able to lead others when necessary
● Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
● Strong work ethics
● Ability to work under pressure and attention to details
● Ability to interpret directions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
● Follow safety procedures and direct others in safe work practices
● Some nights/ weekend work required
