Pilot Program Opportunity
Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) | Gifts of Light
Location: 1025 Queen Street West, Toronto, ON
Format: 1 hour/week for 8 weeks, in person
Rate: $125/hour
Gifts of Light (GOL) provides meaningful programming opportunities to enhance the patient experience and provide meaningful opportunities for patients to build skills and engage in leisure activities.
We are seeking an experienced program vendor/facilitator to deliver their program as a pilot for CAMH patients.
The selected vendor will be responsible for bringing the program, curriculum/content, expertise and facilitation. GOL is not providing a pre-designed program for the vendor to deliver.
The Program
The successful vendor will deliver one 60-minute session per week for 8 weeks.
The program must:
- Be suitable for an open-level group with varying abilities and experience
- Have clear learning outcomes
- Follow a structured and progressive 8-week format
- Include a clear breakdown of each session
- Be appropriate for a clinical mental health environment
- Provide meaningful skill development rather than a one-time activity
- Monday-Friday Between 1-4pm or 6-7pm
Programs may include areas such as arts, music, writing, crafts, wellness, technology, cooking or other educational/skill-building activities.
The proposed program must include:
- A clear overall goal and learning outcomes
- A structured breakdown for all 8 sessions
- Progressive skill development from week to week
- Content/materials required for delivery
- An approach suitable for an open-level patient group
- Programming that is appropriate for a clinical mental health environment
Requirements
The vendor must:
- Be a registered business
- Carry appropriate liability insurance
- Provide required TB immunization/screening
- Provide a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
- Be comfortable working directly with mental health patients in a clinical environment
- Be able to deliver the program on-site at CAMH
Experience working with mental health populations or in healthcare/community settings is an asset.

Please Note:
Opportunity for extension: Following the pilot, there may be an opportunity to extend the program based on program outcomes, patient engagement, and GOL program needs. Any extension would be subject to mutual agreement and available funding.
This is an external vendor pilot opportunity. It is not an employment position with CAMH, and GOL is not seeking someone to facilitate an existing GOL program.
Pay: $125.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1.0 – 3.0 per week
