The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for packing and unpacking items, loading and unloading items from customers' homes, transporting them to their destination, and providing excellent customer service throughout the process. The ideal candidate(s) will have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and experience in moving heavy items. Safe handling and efficiency are key variables for all aspects of the job, to ensure employee safety and prevent damage to customer belongings.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently, as well as part of a team; someone adaptable to individual customer needs and requests, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. They remain calm under pressure, support team members with ongoing coaching, are open to learning and expanding skills, knowledge, and techniques, value team collaboration and problem-solving, and adapt well to new and changing situations, to facilitate a great moving experience with flexibility, initiative, and patience.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload furniture and other items from the truck.
- Accurately complete move documentation, including Bills of Lading, Inventory records, and other, adhering to agency policy and procedures.
- Drive a truck safely and efficiently.
- Follow safety protocols while driving and loading/unloading.
- Communicate with customers regarding their needs and expectations.
- Communicate with dispatch and office personnel.
- Provide direction and ongoing support and coaching to teammates to complete required duties efficiently, safely, and within timeframes.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck interior.
- Inspect the truck before each trip to ensure it is in good working order.
- Driver(s) - proper usage of ELDs and specialized software/applications for job tracking and reporting requirements
We will be conducting interviews to fill the following positions:
- Permanent Full-Time &/OR Part-Time Mover/Drivers - The ideal candidate has experience with commercial driving and applicable regulations, with the ability to travel short or long distances to facilitate customers' moves. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and criminal record check are required. Has experience lifting, carrying, and loading, and genuinely values a 'job well done,' with special focus on customer satisfaction, safety, and efficiency. ($20-$25.00/hr dependent on experience, skills, and abilities)
