We are seeking skilled technicians with hands-on experience installing satellite networking equipment, cabling and related hardware in both the field and production settings.
Position Overview
Field Technician Responsibilities:
· Install and configure rooftop satellite communication panels and routers on fleet vehicles and trains
· Route and secure cables, weatherproof installations, and ensure compliance with safety standards
· Test connectivity, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing support
· Document installations and communicate effectively with operations and customers
· Local and regional travel to customer sites as required
Production Technician Responsibilities:
· Assemble, configure, and test satellite communication panels, bus routers, and other connectivity hardware
· Maintain inventory, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot equipment in production
· Support logistics for field deployment
· Ensure adherence to internal standards and documentation practices
Key Qualifications
· Hands-on experience with mobile connectivity hardware (satellite panels, bus routers, telematics equipment)
· Mechanical aptitude and comfort working at heights (Field Technician)
· Experience with electrical wiring, cable management, and network equipment
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
· Valid G driver’s license with clean abstract (Field Technician)
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Good communication skills
Assets:
· Experience with fleet operations or public transit vehicles
· Knowledge of networking protocols or telecommunication systems
· Previous production experience with electronics or hardware assembly
· Fall protection / Working at Heights certification

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
