Position Overview
The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and day-to-day operations of the hotel. This role ensures operational excellence, financial performance, and adherence to brand standards while fostering a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, and maintenance
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share
- Manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
- Recruit, train, and mentor department leaders and staff
- Ensure compliance with brand standards and company policies
- Deliver outstanding guest satisfaction and handle escalated concerns
- Build relationships within the local community and tourism sector
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel management experience (GM or Assistant GM preferred)
- Proven track record in financial management and operational leadership
- Strong understanding of hotel systems and revenue management practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for hospitality
