Duties
- Safely operate tow trucks and related equipment to recover, transport, and deliver vehicles
- Respond promptly to roadside assistance calls, providing excellent customer service with a positive attitude
- Conduct routine inspections of tow truck machinery and safety features to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with vehicle repairs or minor mechanical troubleshooting when necessary
- Maintain accurate logs of all towing activities, including pick-up and drop-off details
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during vehicle operations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and emergency responders as needed
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license Class 1, 3 or 5
- Class 1 and 3 drivers must be able to drive 18 speed
- Clean abstract, no tickets or violations
- Knowledge in load securement
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and towing equipment
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to vehicle recovery and roadside assistance
- Good personal hygiene is a must
- Prior experience in commercial driving or towing services is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
