Support Worker

This role involves full days in the summer and school breaks
Before-school and after-school childcare during the school year, either a 5/3 or 4/4 hours split.
Must have NVCI training and experience
able to identify triggers and learn de-escalation techniques.
Skilled in redirection and self-regulation with co-regulation support.
Must drive
Responsibilities:

Provide respite care and support with daily activities

Administer medications as instructed

Prepare meals meeting dietary needs
-
Assist with mobility, transfers, and G-tubes
-
Offer companionship and plan engaging activities
-
Perform light housekeeping
Qualifications:

Experience in caregiving
-
Knowledge of medication procedures
-
Physical ability to lift and assist

Strong communication and caring attitude

Confidentiality commitment
Requirements:

Valid First Aid

Recent Police Vulnerable Sector Check

CFS Intervention Check
-
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
