THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an experienced, licensed Refrigeration Mechanic (313A) to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of refrigeration and HVAC equipment across commercial and industrial accounts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Install, commission, service, and repair commercial and industrial refrigeration systems
● Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-side faults and perform repairs efficiently and accurately
● Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and client maintenance agreements
● Handle refrigerant safely and in compliance with applicable regulations
● Complete accurate service reports, work orders, and maintenance records in a timely manner
● Communicate professionally with clients on-site and represent Gastech's standards of quality and service
● Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency service as required
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
● 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic — valid Ontario license (required)
● Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in commercial refrigeration service and installation
● Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across refrigeration and HVAC systems
● G1 Gas Fitter license is an asset
● Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driver's abstract (required)
● Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize service calls
● Strong communication and customer service skills

Pay: $45.00-$65.00 per hour
