Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong multitasking abilities, and a passion for hospitality. Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling cash transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, including cashiering duties and cash handling
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, utensils, and service areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu items and specials to guests
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and health regulations related to food handling and service
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional appearance
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and making change accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work during peak hours including evenings and weekends as needed
- Hospitality background or kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory
