SUMMARY
We are seeking a Logistics and Supply Coordinator to join our team. This key role is responsible for managing supply chain operations, including purchasing, strategic planning, warehousing, inventory control, and materials management of parts. The Logistics and Supply Coordinator ensures the timely procurement and distribution of materials required to support the Maintenance Department and other internal customers. This position plays a vital role in maintaining efficient operations and supporting the company's commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. The Logistics and Supply Coordinator reports directly to the Continuous Improvement Coordinator.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee warehouse distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Manage transportation logistics using advanced management systems.
- Comply with safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Fulfill requests from Maintenance, Millwrights and internal customers for material needs.
- Purchases materials as per manufacturers specification, industry standards and adheres to guidelines required for materials to be utilized in a food production facility.
- Properly store materials in appropriate areas and maintain accurate records.
- Retrieve, receive and distribute goods supplied for internal department purchase orders.
- Input accurate data into inventory system as required to maintain proper and real-time records.
- Prepare materials and documentation for outgoing materials (warranty, returns or outside repair orders).
- Perform other responsibilities, tasks and/or duties as per the request of the Continuous Improvement Coordinator.
SKILLS
- Ability to lift heavy objects occasionally (up to 20kg).
- Standing and walking for long periods of time.
- Exceptional organization and task management skills.
- Attention to details. Oral and written communication skills.
- Understanding of inventory and materials handling procedures.
- Awareness of safety and security measures and policies in place to prevent injuries.
- Ability to use computer technology to make labels, track inventory, and keep a record of storage.Ability to work well with others as a valued member of the Logistics and Supply Business Unit.
REQUIREMENTS
- Logistics and Supply Coordinator or retail stocking shelves or warehousing experience is an asset.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Desire to work in an organized and positive warehouse environment.
- Ability to work full-time on scheduled shift (7:00am-07:00pm 4 days per week).
- Attention to detail and good task management skills. Mechanical aptitude is an asset.
- Able to work autonomously.
