We are currently seeking a compassionate, organized, and motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our busy and growing medical clinic in North Vancouver. Our clinic provides a combination of family practice and pain management services in a collaborative, supportive, and patient-centered environment.
The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Position Details
- Full-time position
- Approximately 36 hours per week
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
- Typical work hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Compensation: $30–$36/hour depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting
- Assist physicians with pain management procedures and treatments
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment
- Prepare and assist patients before and after procedures
- Review and organize laboratory and diagnostic test results
- Maintain accurate and timely charting using the OSCAR EMR system
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to support patient care plans
- Provide patient education, emotional support, and reassurance to patients and families
- Maintain clinic cleanliness, organization, and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active and valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in British Columbia
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Experience in family practice, pain management, procedural care, or outpatient clinic settings is considered an asset
- Injection and procedural experience is preferred, or willingness and interest to be trained
- Experience with OSCAR EMR is considered an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment
