Job Overview
Small millwork shop seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cabinetmaker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of standard cabinet construction and manufacturing processes. This role involves building high-quality cabinetry, ensuring all components are assembled accurately and meet design specifications.
Types of Projects
The work consists primarily of straightforward cabinet production, with opportunities to participate in custom millwork projects. Typical projects include:
- Kitchenettes
- Reception desks
- Office cabinetry
- Storage solutions
- Custom millwork projects
Sub-contractors are welcome to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for cabinet construction.
- Operate a sliding table saw and other millwork equipment safely and efficiently.
- Fabricate and assemble cabinets using a variety of tools and manufacturing techniques.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and attention to detail in all work.
- Restore and repair existing cabinetry as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Journeyman Cabinetmaker certification preferred.
- Sound knowledge of cabinet construction methods and materials.
- Experience operating millwork machinery, including a sliding table saw.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and motivated.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
