The Role:

Deliver engaging instruction in both in-person and online settings for students in the Medical Office Assistant program.

Assess student progress through assignments, skills labs, and competency-based evaluations.

Create a positive, inclusive, and interactive learning environment that supports student engagement.

Provide mentorship and coaching to help students build confidence, professionalism, and workplace-ready skills.

Offer timely, constructive feedback and respond to student questions with clarity and support.

Ensure students meet course objectives and develop the essential knowledge and skills required for success in the field.

Adapt instructional approaches based on student progress, learning needs, and course outcomes.

Encourage active participation in coursework, discussions, and all aspects of the learning process.

Collaborate with faculty and contribute feedback to support ongoing program improvement.

Use technology and online learning platforms to enhance instruction, communication, and student engagement.

Provide students with educational support, study strategies, and guidance to promote academic success.

Perform other related duties as required.

A post-secondary diploma or degree in Medical Office Assistance, Health Care Administration, Medical Administration, or a related field.

High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

A high degree of flexibility and adaptability to meet students’ needs.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Previous teaching or training experience (online teaching experience is a strong asset).

Relevant experience in medical office administration, health care administration, clinical settings, or a related professional environment is preferred.

Experience using Moodle, Teams, or other online learning platforms is an asset.
-
Familiarity with HealthQuest or other Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is an asset.
