JOB OVERVIEW
The Avenir Centre is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Ticketing Administrator to join our team. This role plays a key part in supporting the daily operations of the box office and financial reconciliation processes related to ticket sales, refunds, fees, and event settlements. This role also involves supporting ticketing and reconciliation activities at other venues as part of broader operational needs.
The Ticketing Administrator will report directly to the Director of Finance and the Box Office Manager and will work closely with both teams to ensure accurate reporting, reconciliation, and smooth ticketing operations. This position is primarily based at the Avenir Centre office, with the ability to work off-site as needed to support operational requirements, including providing support to other venues.
Bilingual fluency in French and English is required for this position (written, spoken, and reading).
A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required to accommodate travel and off-site support duties.
SCHEDULE
Monday to Friday, with additional availability required for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Support off-site or event-day operations at other venues
- Perform daily and event-based reconciliation of ticketing accounts, including cash, credit, debit, and online transactions
- Review and reconcile ticket funds, refunds, chargebacks, and adjustments in the ticketing system
- Monitor and track ticket-related fees, service charges, and event settlement data
- Assist with balancing and auditing daily sales reports and financial summaries
- Support accurate reporting of ticket sales, revenue breakdowns, and financial discrepancies
- Work closely with the Box Office team to ensure accurate ticketing records and system integrity
- Prepare and distribute regular reports for the Director of Finance and Box Office Manager
- Investigate and resolve ticketing and financial discrepancies in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate documentation of transactions, reconciliations, and adjustments
- Assist with audits and financial reviews related to ticketing operations
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and procedures
- Provide administrative support to the Box Office and Finance teams as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field considered an asset
- 1–3 years of experience in finance, ticketing, box office operations, accounting, or related administrative roles
- Experience with reconciliation processes and financial reporting required
- Box office or ticketing system experience considered a strong asset
- Strong transactional accuracy experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to engage professionally with customers and the public.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Bilingual in French and English is required (written, spoken, and reading).
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Strong proficiency with computers and administrative systems
- Experience with computerized ticketing platforms considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to learn and navigate financial and ticketing systems quickly
TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENT
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle for occasional off-site or operational support
AVAILABILITY
- Flexible availability required based on event schedule
- Must be available for daytime shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
TRANSPORTATION & WORK REQUIREMENTS

This role is primarily office-based and includes administrative and reconciliation work, with off-site travel required as part of operational needs.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
