Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Food Service Worker to join our team for the 2026 summer camp season.
This role involves providing high-quality meal service and support for our summer camp program. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, customer service, and maintaining food safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of residents and patients while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Assist with food handling, cooking, and meal preparation tasks
- Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas
- Serve campers with courtesy and professionalism
- Maintain accurate food inventory and assist with stock rotation
- Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely delivery of meals during scheduled hours
Skills
- Experience in assisted living, childcare, or food industry environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and serving techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food handling, safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good time management skills to meet meal schedules and deadlines
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
- Prior kitchen experience or food service background is highly desirable
