Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing detailed mechanical designs, creating schematics, and producing accurate CAD models for various projects. This role requires a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, proficiency in multiple CAD software platforms, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative system designs.
Duties
- Create and update various Solid CAD assemblies, parts, and drawings.
- Provide assistance and input on revision control for production components
- Recommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance
- Create and implement standard operating procedures (SOP’s) to maximize efficiencies.
- Create innovative designs in a fast-paced product development cycle.
- Build accurate blueprints and apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5
- Update and design plant layouts or production facilities
- Verify weights, measurements, counts, or calculations and record results on batch records
- Develop manufacturing infrastructure to integrate or deploy new manufacturing processes
- Help develop and provide input on production, inventory, or quality assurance programs
- Ensuring that processes are delivering their intended outputs
- Reporting on the performance of the QMS and on OFI’s.
- Ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the Organization
- Overall, must be able to work in a team, plan, and execute, and have a high standard of work quality.
- Create Quality Assurance requirements and material finishing/heat treating procedures for components based on product design.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with SolidWorks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with a background in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated ability to create detailed schematics, technical drawings, and system layouts.
- Familiarity with construction processes and system design principles.
- Experience with drafting standards and best practices for manufacturing or construction projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Pay: $62,400.00-$72,800.00 per year
