Overview
BV Farm Ltd. is a family owned and operated Layer chicken farm. We are seeking full-time and part-time dependable and motivated individuals to join our team as a Poultry Farm Worker. This is an opportunity to work in a professional agricultural environment focused on animal care, production excellence and teamwork.
Start Date: October 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Daily walk-throughs, care, management and monitoring of poultry health and barn conditions
- Egg collection and handling with an egg packing machine
- Barn and equipment operation, cleaning and maintenance
- Following and maintaining biosecurity protocols and procedures
- Record keeping and completing production tasks
- General farm duties as required/assigned
Qualifications
- Previous farm or poultry experience is an asset but not required (training will be provided)
- Reliable, Detail-oriented, Self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working around chickens and in agricultural environments
- Reliable Transportation and Driver's licence required
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain farm machinery effectively
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail in animal care and equipment handling
- Good physical stamina to stand, walk for extended periods throughout shifts including lifting at least 30lbs
- Ability to follow daily routines and procedures
- Willingness to learn new skills related to poultry farming practices
- Permanent Resident or Canadian citizen

Pay: $18.50-$27.00 per hour
