The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing full-cycle bookkeeping functions, payroll processing, reconciliations, financial reporting, and government remittances for multiple entities. This role requires a high level of accuracy, strong time-management skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

The group operates within a fast-paced, interconnected structure where collaboration across businesses supports efficient financial and operational performance.
Essential Functions
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple properties and entities.
- Complete month-end closings, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and supporting documentation.
- Perform accounts payable functions.
- Handle full-cycle bookkeeping for multiple entities.
- Prepare financial reports and assist with financial analysis as required.
- Compile and submit government remittances, including HST, WSIB, source deductions and corporate tax payments.
- Process payroll for select companies.
- Assist with year-end working papers and preparation for corporate tax filings.
- Maintain organized corporate records and documentation.
- Provide general administrative and office support for holding companies as needed.
Who You Are
- Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong writing, editing, research, and document formatting abilities.
- Ability to adapt quickly, think critically, and manage a variety of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently, independently, and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- High level of accuracy and exceptional attention to detail.
