Leasing Law Clerk

Our client, a well established and highly regarded law firm located in the north end of Toronto is hiring! This is a new role! They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Leasing Clerk with a minimum of 5 years of commercial leasing experience to join its team. This role manages the administration, documentation, and tracking of its commercial leasing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, negotiate and draft documents for a full range of leasing transactions including leases, offers to lease, letters of intent, amending agreements, extensions, surrenders, easements, restrictive covenants, estoppels, and license agreements.
- Conduct analysis regarding the interpretation of leases and related agreements.
- Assist with leasing project administration, including status updates, monitoring critical dates, coordinating approvals, and maintaining physical and digital files.
- Review rent rolls, coordinate initial lease deposits, and assist with lease-related financial tracking (e.g., TMI reconciliations or tax adjustments).
- Serve as a professional point of contact for landlords. tenants, brokers, and legal counsel regarding lease terms and documentation status.
- Ensure all documentation adheres to commercial leasing standards.
- Handling confidential and sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and a high level of integrity.
- Assist with other real estate related matters and other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in commercial leasing administration or as a leasing Law Clerk
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Law Clerk studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office (advanced Excel is a plus)
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities independently.

Pay: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
