Position Overview
As an Assistant Hydraulic & Rigging Technician, you will help assemble hydraulic hoses and rigging components—including rope, wire rope, and chain—tailored to the needs of our customers. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with tools, and learning new skills. Training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
· Follow safety and operating procedures while fabricating, inspecting, installing, and servicing rigging.
· Identify and use appropriate fittings based on customer specifications.
· Complete all tasks according to written and verbal instructions from the supervisor.
· Understand component compatibility and maintain strong product knowledge.
· Apply proper assembly techniques following supplier or in-house procedures.
· Work off-site when required, including on customer vessels.
· Work overtime when needed to meet customer or organizational deadlines.
Skills & Qualifications
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures.
· Ability to understand and follow instructions accurately.
· Good communication skills and a positive, “can do” attitude.
· Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
· Ability to lift over 50 lbs and work safely in a shop or on a boat.
· Comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
· Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
