Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead culinary operations in our family owned restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, food industry knowledge, and a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service for our guests. The Chef will play a vital role in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellence while fostering a positive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient food preparation and service
- Oversee all aspects of food handling, cooking, and presentation to meet quality standards
- Develop and refine menus in collaboration with management, incorporating innovative dishes and seasonal ingredients
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
- Manage inventory
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless serving of dishes and excellent customer service
- Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to maintain efficiency and quality control
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, leadership, and professional growth
Experience
- Proven experience in a restaurant or culinary setting
- Background in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and industry standards
- Familiarity with the food industry trends, hospitality practices, and kitchen equipment operation
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to serve as an effective leader and team player
Must have a valid Food Handlers certification

Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
