The Opportunity
We're looking for a sharp, organized Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to be the financial backbone of our operation. You'll own our full-cycle accounting — from invoicing clients to reconciling bank accounts to filing GST/PST returns — and keep our financial records spotless. This is a hands-on, independent role with real ownership and visibility into the business.
What You'll Do
- Support our Elimagen & Reeser Hansen management team
- Setting up Vendors and quoting vendors
- Own full-cycle bookkeeping: general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and month-end close
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions
- Manage Accounts Receivable — invoicing, payment tracking, and collections
- Manage Accounts Payable — bill entry, vendor payments, and reconciliation
- Support project tracking, job costing, and expense allocations
- Maintain and update customer pricing sheets in Excel with precision
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
- Assist with payroll records and payroll processing
- Type up customer quotes and support day-to-day administrative tasks
- Keep all financial documentation audit-ready and organized
What You Bring
Must-haves:
- A self starter, pro-active and can easily multitask
- 3+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Office Administrative experience and Supporting management
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams etc)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational habits
- Ability to work independently as well as with others
Nice-to-haves:
- Procore Experience
- Payroll processing experience
- Post-secondary education in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance
Eligibility
Due to the nature of our business, candidates must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or legally authorized to work in Canada, and must be fluent in English.
