Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organized Warehouse Associate to join our Operations team. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and shipping goods and cycle counting. This role ensures orders are packed accurately, inventory is organized, and the warehouse operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Receiving & Inspecting Goods: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments to ensure accuracy and quality
- Inventory Management: Organize and store products, track stock levels, and assist with inventory counts
- Administrative Inventory Control: Perform administrative inventory tasks, including regular cycle counting, stock adjustments, and discrepancy reporting to ensure inventory accuracy
- Order Fulfillment: Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment accurately and efficiently
- Shipping: Label and ship orders, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the warehouse clean and organized to ensure a safe working environment
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of protective equipment
- Collaborate: Work closely with team members to meet operational goals and deadlines
Skills and Knowledge Requirements
- Must be able to speak English fluently to ensure safe and effective communication
- Possession of both a valid Driver's License and Forklift License is mandatory
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and order fulfillment
- Ability to accurately pick, pack, and label items for shipment
- Ability to lift, move, and carry heavy items, standing and walking for extended periods
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others
- Understanding of and adherence to warehouse safety protocols and procedures
Desired Education & Experience
- Must possess a valid work permit to work in Canada.
- Previous administrative background with specific experience in cycle counting and inventory management
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience with basic warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is beneficial
