Majors Contracting Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. Locations vary and will follow a rotational schedule of 14 days on and 7 days off.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate excavators and other heavy equipment as required
- Complete excavation, grading, trenching and site preparation work
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Follow all site-specific safety procedures and company policies
- Work effectively with supervisors, ground crews and other equipment operators
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
Qualifications
- Previous excavator or heavy-equipment operating experience
- Bridge-building or civil construction experience is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s licence
- Ability to work a 14-on/7-off rotational schedule
- Relevant safety certifications are considered an asset
The successful candidate will be dependable, safety-focused and comfortable working in changing job-site conditions.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
