Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring that products are accurately and efficiently packed for distribution, maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of packaging processes within the food industry, particularly in food processing or meat cutting environments. Prior experience in sanitation, food safety, and mechanical knowledge is a plus. Duties
- Carefully package products according to specified standards, ensuring proper labeling and sealing
- Assist with food processing tasks, including meat cutting when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas following food safety regulations
- Operate packaging machinery and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting if needed
- Ensure all products meet quality control standards before packaging
- Follow safety procedures related to food handling, sanitation, and equipment operation
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines efficiently
- Adhere to all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure product integrity
Qualifications
- Previous experience in packaging, manufacturing, or the food industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Experience with butchery or meat processing is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude or knowledge of packaging machinery is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
