Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Prior experience in the food industry or as a barista is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. The position requires strong time management skills, attention to food safety, and the ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks following company recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring prompt service
- Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations
- Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns
- Restock supplies and manage inventory levels throughout shifts
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers
Skills
- Previous Barista experience or background in the food industry is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent time management abilities to handle busy periods effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform food preparation tasks quickly while maintaining quality standards
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
