Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Residential Care Workers to provide support and assistance to individuals in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will help promote a safe, nurturing environment, assist with daily living activities, and foster independence among residents. This role is vital in ensuring residents receive respectful, personalized care that enhances their quality of life.
Responsibilities
Provide emotional support to residents with mental illness and behavioral challenges living in residntial care
- Fostering a positive and respectful environment.
- Monitoring residents’ health and well-being.
- Supporting residents in participating in recreational activities, therapy sessions, and community outings.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of activities and resident progress.
- Following safety protocols and ensuring the residential environment remains clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Collaborating with team members to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
Requirements
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support individuals in need of care.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with residents.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if required.
- Education and experience in the human service field
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
