Concierge – Leaside, Toronto, ON
The Career Foundation is currently looking for a Concierge on behalf of one of our employer partners located in Leaside, Toronto. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about customer service, hospitality, and creating a welcoming environment for seniors and guests.
Position Summary:
The Concierge will act as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and families, providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. The successful candidate will assist with day-to-day front desk operations, coordinate services, and ensure residents’ needs are met with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome residents, guests, and visitors while providing exceptional front desk support
- Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries professionally
- Provide information about community services, programs, and events
- Arrange tours, travel, transportation, appointments, and reservations as needed
- Monitor building access and supervise entrances and exits for safety
- Assist residents with basic support needs, including transportation coordination and local information
- Coordinate details for community events, meetings, and gatherings
- Respond to emergency calls and contact emergency services or designated contacts when required
- Maintain accurate records and update resident information as needed
- Report concerns related to resident wellness or safety
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual audits as requested
- Support infection prevention and control protocols when necessary
- Assist with managing common areas and resident amenities
- Attend team meetings and contribute to departmental planning and improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education or relevant experience in hospitality, tourism, or customer service preferred
- Previous experience working with seniors is considered an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of the local community and surrounding area is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Police background check with vulnerable sector screening may be required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks when needed
- Flexible availability, including weekends
- Available for call-ins
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
