Job Overview
Cutting Edge Hockey Development Centre is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Zamboni Driver/Arena Operator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a high-quality ice surface and helping keep our facility clean, safe and welcoming. This position requires the ability to work independently, operate equipment safely and complete scheduled ice resurfaces on time.
Previous Zamboni experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Operate the Zamboni to resurface the ice between scheduled rentals, programs and events.
- Monitor ice conditions and make adjustments when necessary.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on the Zamboni.
- Report equipment or ice-quality concerns promptly.
- Complete general cleaning and custodial duties throughout the facility.
- Clean and maintain locker rooms, bathrooms, spectator areas and other common spaces.
- Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are stored properly.
- Coordinate with instructors and other staff to keep the facility running on schedule.
- Follow all facility safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous Zamboni or arena operations experience is preferred but not required.
- Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience is an asset.
- Comfortable operating heavy equipment safely.
- Dependable, punctual and able to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
