Job Title: Chemical Technician
Location: Quebec City, QC
Duration: 3-6+ Months (possible of extension)
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Field Chemical Technician / Chemical Applications Specialist to support industrial chemical treatment programs at customer sites. This role combines field service, laboratory analysis, technical support, and chemical inventory management. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring chemical treatment performance, collecting and analyzing samples, ensuring safe handling of hazardous materials, and supporting technical improvement projects in industrial and petrochemical environments.
Job Description:
Performance and reliability monitoring of various industrial chemical applications
Collection of samples and operational data at our customer sites
Various laboratory work
Data processing and analysis
Inventory management of various specialty products
Supervision/audit of hazardous material delivery
Participation in the development and economic justification of technical projects
Manage and supervise temporary chemical treatment (when needed)
Experience and Skills:
College or university diploma in a field relevant to the position (chemistry, industrial/process engineering or chemical engineering)
Serious commitment to health and safety at work
Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office (mainly Excel)
Ease of working in the laboratory
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proactivity, autonomy and resourcefulness
Strong problem-solving skills
Fully fluent in French and intermediate level English required
Work schedule flexibility (if needed)
Good physical condition
Be able to work at height

Pay: $35.00-$36.00 per hour
