Job Summary
The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen environment in a restaurant. This position is responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring that all items are sanitized and ready for use. Duties
- Operate dishwashing machines and hand wash items as necessary to ensure cleanliness.
- Sort and stack clean dishes, utensils, and cookware in designated areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients.
- Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain an efficient workflow during busy service periods.
- Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
Skills
- Experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
