This role blends hands-on patient care with client-facing reception support and is vital to the daily flow of the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely restrain and handle animals for examinations and procedures
- Assist with patient preparation, treatments and recovery
- Monitor patients and report concerns to the veterinary team
- Maintain patient comfort and cleanliness
- Educate clients on basic at-home care and follow-up instructions as directed
- Offer empathy and support to clients during emotional or stressful situations
- Process payments, invoices and client accounts
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information
- Assist Veterinarians during appointments and procedures
- Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain hospital equipment and workspaces
- Assist with laboratory samples and basic diagnostics as directed
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist or in an animal-care role is considered an asset - but not required
- Willingness to learn and grow in a multi-faceted role
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Calm, compassionate, and dependable demeanour
- Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced or high-stress environment
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift 50 lbs, or 23 kgs, and restrain animals when necessary.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards and providing exceptional patient care.
- Equine experience is an asset.
- Experience using Idexx Neo Practice Management Software is an asset

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
