Our Automotive sales and repair business is seeking a driven, experienced and knowledgeable Licensed Journeyman Technician to take on our Shop Foreman role.
MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform work as assigned on work order with efficiency, safety and accuracy in accordance with manufacturer and regulatory standards
- Ability to diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs in a timely manner on all makes and models
- Fix it right the first time mentality
- Perform road tests
- Provide accurate quotations for necessary repairs and/or additional work
- Notify the team of additional maintenance work as required
- Perform daily bay inspections
- Maintain the facility and your own equipment and tools in good order
- Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of the operation, maintenance and repair of all makes and models
- Follow industry health & safety programs and observe provincial occupational health & safety regulations; report any observed or correct potential hazards immediately
MAJOR REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES
- Mechanical background/knowledge
- Valid Driver’s License
- Provide Clean Drivers Abstract upon request
- Provide Clean Police Information Check upon request
- Provide proof of License/Credentials upon request
- Bring/provide your own tools as required
- Ability to provide professional customer service
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to complete tasks according to instructions and demonstrate responsibility for outcomes
- Proven experience with all makes and models is an asset
- Out of Province Permit is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- High River, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Red Seal Endorsement (preferred)
- Automotive Journeyman License (required)
