Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Tandoori Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Indian cuisine, particularly in preparing and cooking tandoori dishes. This role involves overseeing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and managing kitchen operations to deliver authentic and high-quality dishes. The Tandoori Chef will play a key role in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for exceptional cuisine and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook authentic tandoori dishes with precision and consistency.
- Supervise food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene standards in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage kitchen staff, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Coordinate with restaurant management to plan menus, manage inventory, and ensure timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment maintenance.
- Ensure all dishes meet quality standards before serving to customers.
- Serve as a role model for team members by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and dedication to excellence.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment, preferably within the food industry specializing in Indian cuisine.
- Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and food service operations.
- Strong background in restaurant management, team management, and leadership roles within hospitality settings.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and kitchen best practices.
- Prior restaurant experience with a focus on Indian or Asian cuisine is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service.
