Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. The LPN works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) required. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required. One year of recent presurgical screening or preadmission experience is required. Three years of recent surgical nursing experience is required, or a combination of relevant related experience and education may be considered. Must have great communication skills to accommodate in person and virtual teaching. Excellent assessment and organizational skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of the Pre-Admission Clinic process and program. Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word and Excel. Knowledge of the Connect Care system.
