Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records and providing exceptional administrative support across our office. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, experience with bookkeeping and office management, and excellent customer service abilities. Duties
- Manage accounts payable and receivable using Sage Simple Accounting
- Perform data entry with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date
- Handle billing, invoicing, and bank reconciliations
- Maintain organized filing systems for both digital and paper documents
- Assist with front desk responsibilities including greeting visitors, answering multi-line phone systems, and managing appointments
- Provide customer support via phone and email, demonstrating professional phone etiquette
- Support administrative tasks such as proofreading documents, managing correspondence, and scheduling meetings using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools
- Coordinate with vendors and clients regarding payments and inquiries
- Assist in maintaining office supplies inventory and ensuring smooth daily operations
Experience
- Prior experience with bookkeeping, preferably using Sage Simply Accounting
- Office experience including clerical duties, data entry, filing, and front desk responsibilities
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems and customer service best practices
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications
- Excellent typing speed, proofreading skills, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role
