Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable Dental Receptionist to join our small, busy dental practice. Our office has a welcoming, small-town feel, and we pride ourselves on providing patient-centred, healthcare-focused care in a supportive team environment.
We are located approximately 10 minutes from Conestoga Mall, in the small town of St. Clements. Consistent, reliable attendance is essential, including during typical winter weather conditions.
The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our patients and will play a key role in creating a calm, positive experience from the moment they arrive. This role involves appointment coordination, patient communication, and administrative support, working closely with one other administrative team member to keep the office running smoothly.

Examples of Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
- Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using MaxAssist software
- Manage phone calls, emails, and text messages, responding to patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Verify and update patient insurance information accurately
- Collect payments and clearly explain billing procedures
- Maintain organized and confidential patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
- Support administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure an efficient and well-paced daily schedule
- Respond to patient questions about treatment plans and office policies with clarity and professionalism
- Review forms with patients, ensuring their understanding
Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience as a dental receptionist in Ontario is required - Must be experienced working with the ODA fee guide, dental insurance plans CDCP and other government programs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of dental terminology and office procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a multi-line phone system and prioritize tasks effectively
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Positive, patient-focused attitude with a commitment to professionalism
- Experience with dental software (MaxAssist preferred)

Pay: $24.00-$29.00 per hour
