- This job will most likely fall under NOC Code: 14400 – Shippers and receivers
- Load, unload, sort, and move shipments manually or using material-handling equipment
- Operate a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
- Prepare shipping documents including Bills of Lading, packing slips, and manifests
- Inspect incoming materials for quality, accuracy, and compliance
- Pack, seal, label, and stage outgoing shipments
- Record and maintain accurate shipping and receiving data
- Communicate shipping/receiving information with logistics, purchasing, and accounting
- Deliver materials to production and assist other departments as needed
- Coordinate with Supervisor and Supply Chain/Logistics Manager to resolve issues
- Maintain 5S standards and housekeeping in shipping and receiving areas
- Participate in continuous improvement, safety initiatives, and training
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 3 years of shipping and receiving experience
- Minimum 2 years of counterbalance forklift operation experience
- Ability to read drawings and measure accurately
- Strong attention to detail with safe work habits
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Cross-training in door fabrication considered an asset
- Adhere to OH&S regulations and company safety policies
- Use required PPE at all times
- Participate in safety training and incident reporting
- Report hazards and unsafe conditions immediately
