Our client is a leader in innovative Water Treatment Solutions and is seeking a Design and Drafting Technologist to join their Engineering Operations team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals looking to gain experience in technical design, drafting, and project support. Candidates from technology programs such as mechanical, chemical, or related fields are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Generate manufacturing drawings from architectural drawings or sketches
- Prepare drawings for bidding purposes
- Manage drawing files and maintain the engineering library
- Produce technical documents as required
- Manage and issue drawings to subcontractors
- Conduct field visits to operating equipment
- Conduct field visits to manufacturing facilities to review projects under construction
- Provide technical support as needed
Education & Experience
- Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology, Mechanical Technology, Chemical Technology, or equivalent
- 1–3 years of related experience preferred (recent graduates will be considered)
- Technologist-in-Training status or eligibility an asset
- Experience drafting (CAD) mechanical components and structures for manufacturing
- Exposure to water treatment systems equipment considered an asset
Software Skills
- AutoCAD 2020 (or equivalent)
- Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks highly preferred for 3D modeling
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Additional Skills & Competencies
- Strong mechanical inclination
- Hands-on understanding of construction methods
- Familiarity with mechanical equipment design and industrial process piping
- Awareness of Canadian building and plumbing codes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Eligibility for recognition by A.S.E.T. is an asset
